Studio Stockholm creates DICE’s new headquarters

December 15, 2014

DICE, Electronic Arts and Frostbite consolidate their businesses and move to a new studio in Fatburen on Södermalm in Stockholm.

DICE is one of the world’s leading game developers with successes like Battlefield, Mirror’s Edge and Bad Company. Under development right now is also a long-awaited series of new Star Wars games under the name Battlefront. Electronic Arts is the world’s largest game producer with hits like The Sims and FIFA. Frostbite is one of the world’s leading developers of game engines for advanced games.

“It feels incredibly exciting to once again create a space for one of the world’s most renowned game developers. I have previously designed both DICE’s former headquarters in Slussen and EA’s Sweden Office but this great project that holds all their activities will be something special. We will create a creative studio that will help our client to continue to develop world class games”, says Marco Checchi, a partner at Studio Stockholm Arkitektur.

With this project, Studio Stockholm continues to consolidate its strategy of creating strong concepts for leading brands.

We have worked for over 10 years with Marco Checchi and now that we are consolidating operations and moving into new premises it was natural for us to continue our successful collaboration with Studio Stockholm Arkitektur”, says Patrick Söderlund, Executive Vice President of EA Studios.

Occupancy is expected in December 2015 and the total area is 11,500 square meters.
